with Katie Feiles post interview at Future Foundations Academy

MEET KATIE FEILES:

Katie Feiles, Principal of Future Foundations Academy, is in her 15th year in the public schools, focusing on special education.  Early in her teaching career, Ms. Feiles explored the world of Autism deeply, receiving her graduate certification in Autism as well as becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).  She then transitioned out of the classroom and into a leadership role of district behavior specialist, then becoming Supervisor of Special Services and Pupil Personnel.  Ms. Feiles continued her higher education, completing her educational specialist degree Ed. S. and receiving certifications in administration, where she then joined the Educational Services Commission to become Vice Principal of the secondary program, and now the Principal of Future Foundations Academy. Ms. Feiles believe that staying informed and open minded, along with letting the student share in the steering of their future is the key to educational success.

Katie Feiles stays very busy with her three young children and husband, where together they enjoy exploring the arts, giving back to their community, and traveling.
