Hopewell Valley Arts Council Hosts Inaugural Event featuring Pulitzer and JAM Award Honorees
A quick note. There are events all over our Garden State. You can’t be everywhere. We know that. I do like to share special events, poignant times and varied venues with the NJ Discover readers. This Thursday at the Hopewell Valley Vineyards in Pennington New Jersey is one of those special times. I love ambiance. and wine. and Pulitzer prize poets and JAM award winning singers. The recently formed Hopewell Valley Arts Council is hosting their inaugural event on June 13, 2013 at 6:30pm at the Hopewell Valley Vineyards in Pennington, NJ. The event will feature performances from some of the area’s most acclaimed artists including Pulitzer Prize winning Poet C.K. Williams and Jersey Acoustic Music Awards Honoree Lauren Marsh. Lauren received the JAM Award for Top Indie Release for her EP collection “Ready For Takeoff”. The lineup of performers also includes seasoned Rock/Jazz/Folk duo T.J. Tindall & Greg Merkle. The Hopewell Valley Arts Council is a valley-wide organization that advances the role of the arts and artists in building community, and to fund programs and community space that support the visual, performing and musical arts. The arts council has received mentions of support from mayors of the three municipalities in Hopewell Valley.
The Goals of the Hopewell Valley Arts Council:
– Call the residents of Hopewell Boro, Pennington Boro and Hopewell Township together in support of a shared goal
– Increase community awareness and participation in the Arts, while showcasing the breadth of talent of the Valley’s arts community.
– Engage a diverse group of participants, including our schools, local businesses, seniors, teens & other non-profits
– Stage a variety of events over the next 18 – 24 months to raise awareness and funds.
